Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is such an underrated Greek Island. It is an Ionian Island and is more lush and diverse than the Cyclades Islands like Santorini, Mykonos, Milos, etc. With magical boat tours, iconic viewpoints, and incredible dining locations, Zante has it all. Keep reading to discover what 3 perfect days exploring Zakynthos, Greece would look like!

Day 1
North Zakynthos Boat Tour
Zakynthos has some of the bluest and clearest waters I have ever seen. Head out on a boat tour and explore Zakynthos’ northern coastline. We rented a boat with a captain through Porto Vromi for a few hours and had a blast swimming and discovering caves and beaches. A few of our favourite spots were White Beach, Maravelia Cave, and the famous Navagio Shipwreck Beach!
Navagio Shipwreck Beach Viewpoint
Now that you have seen the beach from below, head to Navagio Shipwreck Beach Viewpoint to see the beach from above! I was amazed to see all the shades of blue. This beach is an iconic spot that you can’t miss! There is a path that allows a better view of the beach, but the area is prohibited. We watched many people entering at their own risk. There are no safety precautions and you are walking on a rocky path near the cliff’s edge. Way too risky for me!! I had my drone, so I was able to capture beautiful pictures!
Beach/Pool
Zakynthos is such a chill vacation spot, so I highly recommend booking a Villa with a pool to enjoy your vacation and escape the crowds. We booked Villa Anna Maria and enjoyed hanging out in our pool once the afternoon hit. The weather was extremely hot in July, so we did our touring in the morning and spent the rest of our day chilling in the pool. Looking for a one-bedroom villa with a pool? Check out this villa a few houses down the road, Stelle Mare Villa.
If you would rather hit up a beach, check out Xigia Sulfur Beach and Xigia Sulfur Beaches (two different beaches, right next to each other).
Lofo’s Restaurant For A Sunset Supper
Lofo’s Restaurant is definitely out of the way, but we loved how local it felt. It’s way up in the mountains and looks down on a quiet village covered with olive trees. The food was delicious, especially their pizza!
Day 2
Cameo Island
Head to Cameo Island first thing in the morning. Cameo Island is a busy tourist location, so get here before the crowds to explore and enjoy the small beach. They have a 5 euro entrance fee, but that includes a complimentary key chain with your photo as a souvenir!
South Zakynthos Boat Tour
If there is one thing I can convince you to do, let it be this boat tour! We booked with Calypso Boat Rental and loved our tour with Nikos. A few highlights were searching for turtles, Marathonisi Island, Myzithres, Fallen Cliffs Beach, and Keri Caves! I could not get over how clear and blue the water was. I was always quick to jump in the water at every stop. We booked for 4 hours, but I could have easily spent the entire day exploring the caves, searching for turtles and swimming!
Day 3
Panoramic View Of Bohali
Our flight left later that afternoon, so we wanted some non-water activities to keep us busy! Just a short drive from our villa was this incredible viewpoint overlooking the main town, Zakinthos. There are also a few restaurants with outdoor seating next to this lookout.
Myzithres Viewpoint
Another stunning viewpoint you can’t miss is Myzithres! Park your car and walk a short trek up to see incredible views of this small beach connected to a rock that formed from a landslide many years ago. I was completely mesmerized by the blue ombre water.
Keri Lighthouse Restaurant
My favourite restaurant of our entire Greece trip was here, Keri Lighthouse. The views were spectacular, the food was delicious, and the service was great. We arrived as soon as they opened the doors, so we got in fine without a reservation. By the time we were leaving, the place was starting to get busy, so you may have to make a reservation depending on the time you go! Make a reservation here.
