Anyone else addicted to chocolate like I am? I can’t go a day without it. Chocolate is something that I will never get rid of or restrict myself from… and I know how bad chocolate is, so I’m trying to switch to the healthiest of chocolates… dark chocolate. Out of boredom, I randomly threw some ingredients together and made this Dark Chocolate Almond Bark. It turned out so yummy, so of course, I had to share this recipe with you!
*I randomly made up this recipe, so the measurements I added down below are an estimate. I added whatever I felt looked good so you can totally mess around with the measurements as well. It is one of those recipes where you can play around with the ingredients.
I started with:
-a bag of dark chocolate chips (added in some semi-sweet chocolate chips)
-1 tsp coconut oil
-1 cup sliced almonds
-Sprinkle of granola: cinnamon oat with flax seeds (my favorite granola)
I melted the entire bag of dark chocolate chips and then some semi-sweet chocolate chips along with 1 tsp of coconut oil. Melt at 30-second intervals and stir so the chocolate doesn’t burn. Mix in the sliced almonds and then pour onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Then, while I was looking in my cupboard, I decided to melt some peanut butter chips to swirl onto two-thirds of the bark. On the two-thirds with peanut butter chips, I topped one-third with granola and one-third with sliced almonds. For the other one-third, I topped with mini marshmallows.
Once you’re all done, pop it into the freezer for 30 minutes. Take the bark out and break it with your hands or a knife into small pieces. How easy was that!!
Of course, the marshmallow section was my favorite because of my sweet tooth lol. Hope you enjoy this simple and easy dark chocolate almond bark! I know this is my new go-to snack/dessert to settle my chocolate cravings!
